Prayer is Partnership
2 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV) 9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”
- Asa had within his relationship with God a “Partnership” in the earth.
- God valued that partnership every much
- God is looking for others to partner with Him so He can “show Himself strong on behalf of them”.
Prayer is partnering with God to do His will on earth as it is in heaven.
Prayer is God and man working together in the earth.
Releasing and establishing His will in the earth.
- Man working independent from God is Religion.
- God working independent from man is judgment.
Psalm 89:11 (NKJV) 11 The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all its fullness, You have founded them.
Psalm 24:1 (NKJV) 1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’S, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.
Psalm 115:16 (NKJV) 16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S; But the earth He has given to the children of men.
- God has ownership of the planet…His creation
- But He has given stewardship to the children of man.
- Ownership + Stewardship = Partnership
