Senior Pastors – Andy & Sharris Johnson

Upon graduating Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, Andy joined the Air Force in 1979 and it was there that he had an encounter with God, and received Jesus as his personal savior.  Not long after, he received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and upon leaving the Air Force started ministering with puppetry in Children’s Ministry.

Sharris was diagnosed with epilepsy as a 2 year old child but her family took her to a healing service in Denver where she was completely healed and has been an advocate of healing prayer and overcomer ever since. She became a born-again Christian at 8, but her life dramatically changed after her healing at 10 years of age. Her family moved to Florissant in 1978, and attended Agape Fellowship in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, where Sharris also received baptism in the Holy Spirit and attended their Christian School.

After leaving the Air Force, Andy returned to Colorado Springs where he started attending Agape Fellowship, and it was here that he met his wife Sharris and they married on May 20, 1989. Andy and Sharris have two children: Zach was born in January 1991 and is stationed in Washington with the Air Force; and Anthony, born in June 1992, who graduated May 2011 will commence his training with the Air Force in September 2011.  Sharris’ family still live in Florissant and have always been active in their church and community. Andy’s parents are retired and expect to resettle in Woodland Park in the near future.

Andy graduated from the Institute of Theology by extension in 1998, and received his pastoral license, and has been involved in Children’s Ministry for over 20 years. Andy and Sharris have held Kid’s Crusades, been Children’s Pastors, and also involved in Youth Ministry. They have volunteered with various ministries, particularly to the homeless at the Springs Rescue Mission, where they regularly assisted with a Saturday night service for the men in the New Life Program, the homeless and low income families in the downtown Colorado Springs area.

Andy and Sharris have graduated from Charis Bible College, including completing the third year Internship Program, as well as working for Andrew Wommack Ministries. They have recently returned to Woodland Park and are excited about pursuing the vision God has given them to pastor the church and train disciples to send out to strengthen the Kingdom of God.
