Mark 11:12-14 (NKJV)
12 Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry.
13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
14 In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His disciples heard it.
- Jesus spoke to the fig tree…didn’t chop it, poison it…just spoke.
- They went on into Jerusalem all day and then went home for the evening.
Mark 11:20-21 (NKJV)
20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”
- Peter was amazed at what he saw.
- Jesus began to teach on Faith.
Mark 11:22-23 (NKJV)
22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.
- Jesus is instructing us how to have faith in God
- How to book on how faith works.
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
- There is an emphasis on saying to have faith.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Romans 1:17 (KJV)
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
1 John 5:4 (KJV)
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
How do we
- live by faith
- walk by faith
- overcome by faith
By believing and saying and decreeing a thing!!
2 Corinthians 4:13 (NKJV)
13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,
- Do we have the same spirit of faith as Abraham, David, Daniel…YES
- If they believed and spoke…We believe and speak also…how faith works has not changed.
Gen 1:1-28 God created all things by saying.
- The spiritual world created the physical world…with words
- The physical Plane was created and ordered by the spiritual plane…”let there be…” and it obeyed.
- The physical world is subject to the spiritual world…it must obey spiritual words.
Hebrews 11:1-3 (NKJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
- Faith is a substance…that hoped for (Seen in the spirit first) will bring it into the physical (seen)
- Words are not seen but a powerful influence on the seen.
- God created the universe with words.
Psalm 33:5-9 (NKJV)
5 He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
6 By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
Psalm 148:1-6 (NKJV)
1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!
2 Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!

- All in heaven and earth were created by God’s words
- He also established them…keeps them functioning…ongoing.
Hebrews 1:3 (NKJV)
3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

… upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. …
~ Everything was created by words.
~ So everything is submissive to words
~ The spirit world is the parent of the physical world…spirit birthed the physical.
~ The physical bows to the demands of the Spiritual.
~ When words are spoken form a spiritual being…the physical has to obey.
Psalm 115:15-16 (NKJV)
15 May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S; But the earth He has given to the children of men.
Genesis 2:7 (AMP)
7 Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being.

- We, as spiritual beings in earth bodies, have dominion on this earth…
- God owns it but He gave it to man to rule over as spiritual beings.
Psalm 8:4-6 (NKJV)
4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,
- Angels (Elohim – trans 2346 times as God) we are just under our heavenly Father.
Ephesians 5:1 (NKJV)
1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
- Are we to do things the way our Father God does things? Imitate Him? Be like Him?
- “Your trying to act like Jesus.” Jesus acted like His Father. When Jesus said something it happened, just like His Father.
- Are we imitating our Father the way Jesus imitated our Father…believing and saying
