God’s Design For Your Life
- Find His Purpose and Plan for Your Life
- Ask God How to Fulfill it…Get His Plan…Preparation time is never wasted time.
- Pursue it at all cost…with all your heart!!!
NASA put a man on the moon
Would that had been a successful mission if the capsule burned up in the atmosphere? No!
Why not…they didn’t finish strong…they didn’t finish the mission.
The strong finish was to recover the men and capsule and rocks.
Moses
- He was college trained…human wisdom…Self Confidence…I know what I’m doing
- He was a great General in the Egyptian army against the Ethiopians … Josephus. The Antiquities of the Jews. Book 2, Chapter 9, section 2, to Chapter 11, section 1.
- He had position and power in Egypt.
- He try to fulfill God’s will through his own abilities.
- Not a good start, But…
- He Finished Strong
- He is hailed as a Great Prophet in the Bible…Because he finished strong.
- King Saul was a Prophet…He did not finish strong…He was NOT a great prophet.
- King David was a Prophet…He finished strong…He was a great King and prophet.
- They both started out anointed by Samuel, Chosen by God, But their choices made the difference.
- One chose to do it God’s way…One chose to do it his own way.
- Moses started out his own way…But ended God’s way.
Hebrews 11:23-27 (NKJV)
- He knew he was called
- it was not like “The Ten Commandments”
- Endured – stayed faithful, seeking God, pursuing the calling.
Paul
1 Corinthians 15:8-10 (NKJV)
- Paul persecuted the church…Not a Good Start
- But God had a call and plan for his life.
- Like Moses, He tried to use his own ability and understanding to fulfill God’s plan.
- But he picked up God’s way to fulfill Paul’s calling…
Philippians 3:12-15 (NKJV) .
- Paul is seeking God’s will be done, Not his personal will.
- This takes “Pressing on”…”Lay Hold”…”Reaching Forward”…”Press Forward”
- Press toward the goal for the prize…upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
- Forgetting those things which are behind…reaching forward.
- It’s more important HOW YOU FINISH THAN HOW YOU BEGAN!!!!
- You can’t wait until you are perfect to began…many never start because of this.
2 Timothy 4:6-8 (NKJV)
- V6…Paul is at the end of his life and he knows it.
- V7…He finished strong…
- V8…He receives the crown of righteousness
- Not just him but you too…but you must also:
- Find God’s plan
- Fight the good fight…keep the faith
- Finish strong…keep your eyes on Jesus…love His appearing…You live like He’ll be here any minute now.
Keep your eyes on the prize!!!!
