Prosperity – What the Bible Means by Prosperous

Did you that prosperity is a big part of one of the two major themes in the New Testament?

It’s true. Those two themes are:

  1. Salvation
  2. Stewardship
Prosperity in the Balance

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”

Jesus taught more on finances “money” than on any other subject. The NT has more scriptures on money then: Heaven, Hell, Salvation and Faith combined.

God wants you to be prosperous but put laws into effect within those blessings. It is God’s will to prosper us, not destroy us.

What does it mean to be in prosperity?

  • Achieve ones goals, fulfilling ones purpose.
  • To succeed in reaching, to promote, elevate, succeed in business, to help on the road. Mentor People.
  • A state of wholeness in relationship with God and man.

God wants use to prosper in every area of our lives. So true prosperity involves the 5 realms of influence in life:

  • Spirit
  • Soul
  • Body
  • Social
  • Financial

Psalm 35:27:

Let them shout for joy and be glad,
Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
“Let the Lord be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

Two Mindsets to Overcome

  1. Poverty and Holiness are synonymous.
  2. Gain is Godliness.

Money without a God given purpose will destroy your life. God doesn’t want that for us. Instead he wants us to live a balanced life.

“In God We Trust” is on our money…our for fathers knew from where this nations blessings were coming from. But now this nation has forgotten her roots from where her blessings come and has forsaken the lord her God.
